‘LOPPIS’ Swedish Flea Market
A Swedish Institution... Of well stocked and organised, second-hand goods, of which some are to be found in town, often within charity shops. My local favourites, being the Röda Korset and St Eriks Hjalpen, other’s more interestingly, are to be found in the countryside, (a random home-made ‘Loppis’ sign on the roadside, often indicating), to barns or sheds. Some of which are enormous, stocked floor to ceiling (like my favourite ROSTE), some are tiny. During the long, light Swedish summer months, open air markets and auctions are another exciting way to discover and make a purchase. But all offering, tempting items for domestic, Swedish bliss...
